A lot of what we call normal was just handed to us.
The schedule. The script. The idea that you work until your body gives out, and then, if everything went right, you get a few years at the end that are actually yours. Nobody sat you down and asked if you agreed to any of it. You were born into a running program and it came with default settings.
The thing about defaults: somebody chose them. And most people never open the settings menu.
Questioning the standard does not mean burning your life down. It means looking at it for real. What do you actually keep, and what were you just carrying because somebody before you carried it? Your time is the one budget you never get a refill on. Spend it like it is yours, because it is.
This is the habit behind every Standard on this site. Look at the thing everyone steps around. Ask who set it. Then decide for yourself.
